Inspiration Rabat May 24, 2024 One of the most charming cities in Morocco is Rabat, and anyone who visits Rabat will be incredibly moved by its beauty and diversity. Cosmopolitan people, complex architecture, enchanting gardens, southern serenity and strict western order all come together here. I would like to present you some pictures of the city that give you an idea of what a pleasure it is to explore this Atlantic pearl. For us as interior designers, it is always wonderful to see how European and Islamic-Oriental culture merge here. The Mawazine Festival takes place every year in June in Rabat. International live acts for a young audience are spread across the entire city - some of them free. For more convenience, there are special paid passes that are affordable. Click here to go to the festival page: Mawazine Festival Art enthusiasts will certainly find "Le Cube-independent art room" interesting. In one of the special Art Deco buildings there is a small but beautiful exhibition room that was built up over the years by the Carinthian curator Elisabeth Piskernik and where vernissages and artist talks are held regularly. International and local artists meet here for intellectual and cultural exchange and the public is welcome to take part in the discussions. Le Cube - independent art room : Le Cube (lecube-art.com) Worth mentioning is the newly built royal theater by star architect Zaha Hadid, who was able to create a monument to herself in the Moroccan capital with her unmistakable style. One of her last buildings, which contributes to the cultural and architectural development of the city like no other. You should definitely visit Chellah, a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis and an unusual archaeological site. Hundreds of storks live here, many of which are not just stopping off, but saving themselves the trip to Europe. Jazz au Chella is one of the festivals held there, a firework of musical creativity in an unusual setting. The founder is Majid Bekkas from Rabat, known for jazz & Gnaoua fusion projects around the world. WEEKEND TIP: Visit "Le Bistrot de Pietri", varied live sessions - excellent food. ← Older Post Newer Post → Leave a comment Name Email Message Please note, comments must be approved before they are published
